Liver and onions. It is my favorite dish of all time. It is also a dish I can only get in very few places that make it properly. The liver and onions here was delicious and I never had to use a knife to cut it. The onions were done perfectly and it was not drenched in gravy like many places. The mashed potatoes were absolutely delicious and we obviously scratch me. My mother and father owned this store while I was in the Marine Corps and it was still a general store with a lunch counter.

Let me start by saying, don't judge this book it's cover. I was brought via word-of-mouth visit. I pulled in my vehicle and see an unpainted fence, normally this is a red alert to sub-par service and food. NOT THE CASE. The crabcake superb, the Prime rib to die for, the ribs melt in your mouth. The only think I can't express utmost gratitude towards is the dessert, because I was too indemnified by initial full course meal. If you want a seemingly different experience with the best American cuisine imaginable, take a ride down to Newark, MD. The family appreciates the business, and they have a lantern on the table just to let you know its humble. If you want your money's worth and amazing food, please check this place out.

This is a Mom & Pop operation! (Actually the entire family) The atmosphere is that of way back in the day when folks actually enjoyed taking care of you and your family. The food was beyond exceptional. The food is if you went to your family potluck and everyone brought your favorite dish. Portions are actually huge (too much in a good way) you'll be taking some home with you for sure! There are so many choices it's difficult to choose because everything is so good. I fell in love with this place. It definitely has that down home feeling. You must experience it for yourself. Edit: 12/31/2021 Had an amazing time & meal once again this evening! I am SUPER picky about my crab cakes....these were absolutely AMAZING!!!! Please try this establishment, you will NOT be disappointed!

Coming to this restaurant has been a tradition for my family for as long as I can remember and even before that. The best food with the very best people!! It is not possible to find a restaurant that makes you feel more at home and welcomed. Cannot recommend enough!

OMG what a great little Mom and Pop place. The food is delicious. Was just there Friday and had two softshell crabs piled with crab imperial, sweet potatoes and fresh green beans. To full for the homemade, delicious dessert.

Barbely’s is a fantastic family restaurant that you don’t come across very often. Their place is rich in history and loaded with tasty homestyle options. I ordered the beef and dumplings. Extremely fresh and made with love. I also ordered the coconut pie and the pork chop from my husband Togo. All top quality and absolutely delicious. Service was excellent. They even have an area for children to sit and play so parents can enjoy. Thanks for you a great experience. We will be back!

We love Barbelys. The first time we went we were greeted with smiles, and amazing food. We plan to make it a monthly visit. The staff is so welcoming and the food is some of the best you can get on the shore. Their prime rib is by far the best I've ever had.

The epitomy of down home country. Love Love Love this place. Very nostalgic with relics on the many shelves that take you back to simpler times. Staff looks to be mosrly youth who work great as a team. The food is always delicious and your glass is always full. Very unique
